Gib was a respected leader in the community and a great friend of Houston Methodist, serving 15 years on the board and dedicating his personal time to building the Houston Methodist Research Institute. Gib had a distinguished legal career, as partner at the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins, LLP, and as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He was committed to health care and the Houston community, serving on the boards of Houston Methodist, St. Luke’s Methodist Church, and Covenant House-Texas.
